From 28 February to 2 March, the Millmead team headed to 100% Optical at ExCeL London for three busy and thoroughly enjoyable days at the show floor.

With Continental, Jai Kudo and Optoplast all on display, this year was about celebrating variety across the group. From bold frames and advanced lens technology to sustainable accessories, the stand told a broader story of what Millmead represents.
The Rainbow Wall
One of the highlights was our rainbow wall, designed to showcase the full spectrum of colour and product across the three businesses. It was a real talking point and a natural gathering spot on the stand. It was encouraging to see how strongly practices responded to the depth of choice and the confidence of colour on display.

Millmead: Design in the Spotlight
We were delighted to see Millmead recognised in the Love Eyewear Awards, with two nominations:
- JAKOB from Reykjavik Eyes in the Unisex Frame of the Year category
- DEC. 42 from Y.NEUMAN in the Women’s Frame of the Year category
To be nominated alongside so many respected brands was something we are incredibly proud of and reflects the strength of design talent across the industry.
Millmead also appeared on the catwalk, with Puriti 32 and DEC. 42 featured in the frame showcase, while selected silver and gold chains appeared within the accessories section.
Continental: Colour Trends
The latest vibe by Cameo collection drew particular attention. Its bold, trend-led colour palette struck a chord with practices looking to refresh their offering.
Reykjavik Eyes was equally well received, especially the new collection presented at the event, reinforcing continued demand for distinctive, design-led eyewear.
Jai Kudo: Strong Interest in Signature and KUDOS®
On the lens side, interest in the new Signature progressive lens was strong throughout the three days. Practices were keen to explore how it could support patient experience while strengthening their premium lens offering.
The Glazed Package also generated positive conversations, with many recognising the opportunity to simplify and strengthen their lens proposition.
KUDOS® demonstrations took place consistently across the three days, with plenty of discussion around advanced lens design and how technology continues to shape patient expectations.
Optoplast: Sustainability Leading the Conversation
Sustainability remains firmly on the agenda. Optoplast’s Made in the UK rPET cases prompted numerous conversations with practices looking to take more responsible steps in their product choices. It is clear that environmental considerations are increasingly influencing purchasing decisions.
The chains featured on the catwalk added another dimension, highlighting the growing importance of accessories within practice.
A Valuable Few Days
As always, the real value of 100% Optical lies in the conversations. It was a pleasure to reconnect with long-standing customers and meet new practices discovering Millmead for the first time.
Thank you to everyone who visited the stand. If you would like to continue any of the conversations started at the show, the team would love to hear from you.
